Continuing with the theme of this years Creative February ‘Connect with Nature’ all class enjoyed an art workshop with local artist Petrina. We explored features of woodland animals, drawing them and finally creating them into clay sculptures. Their final pieces are pretty impressive and we look forward to painting them in the next few weeks.

Creative February got off to a flying start in our school this week as we worked with Jessica from The Heritage Council . The theme for Creative February this year is ‘Connect with Nature’. All classes enjoyed creating wonderful art pieces using the sea as our inspiration. Maith Sibh

As part of our Active School initiative all classes have been engaging in the Croke Park ‘Active Break Every Day’ challenge. Everyone enjoys the movement breaks and learning some facts about Croke Park

Lá Fhéile Bríde Shona Daoibh! Happy St. Brigid’s Day all! We learned all about the life of Saint Brigid and made lots of crosses from rushes to mark this special day.

We created some lovely artwork to welcome the New Year

We performed our Christmas Play "Pirates Versus Mermaids" in front of a packed school hall and highly appreciative audience. This was followed by wonderful tunes and Christmas carols by our school music group. Well done to all the children on their excellent performances and we are very proud of you all. Thank you to all the parents and families for coming to watch us. Such a lovely start to Christmas!
